The Maize and fodder plants unit of this center is responsible for research programs in line with the production and introduction of new cultivars adapted to the climatic conditions of Kermanshah province and agronomy research in order to provide solutions to existing agronomy problems.
The breeding activities of this research unit in the Kermanshah Research Center with the participation of Seed and Plant Improvement Institute Preparation have led to have led to the introduction of new maize hybrids named Paya, Kosha, Taha, KSC703, KSC705 and KSC706.
